Introduction of Technical Features
With the recent total amendment of [Industrial Safety and Health Act] and the implementation o f [Serious Disaster Punishment Act], protection of human life is indeed a very important social task. In the midst of this trend, DURIAN COMPANY INC. has developed AEROSOFT, an automobile impact absorbing device that can be bolted on and off from the exterior of the vehicle, with our aim of “zero fatality rate in automobile accidents”.
AEROSOFT®
The theory of patented technology AEROSOFT is to discharge compressed air outside to neutralize the collision impact. Its body frame is very light and soft, and the fact that the lengths are designed to compress on impact, it can absorb heavier impact with a smaller size compared to other impact absorbing devices made of rubber or metal honeycombs. Also, it is designed to have a smooth surface without any metals such as bolts therefore it is safe even if it comes into direct contact with people. *The AEROSOFT Technology is an excellent technology not only limited to automobiles, but also extended to various places which involves impact absorption such as road facilities, guard rails, ships, aircrafts, ports, buildings and etc.
SLIDING BRACKET
The SLIDING BRACKET, a registered patented technology, is applied to the product depending on the product model for collision speed over 60km/h to protect the human body safely from the high-speed impact. Also, the length of the bracket can be adjusted using the wireless remote control suitable for your options. Usually, it acts like a normal car bumper, and length can be extended to maximize impact absorption when necessary.
LIDAR SYSTEM™
The LIDAR System is a state-of-the-art safety device that predicts and warns vehicles upon entering the danger zone of the construction site on the road and also allows workers on the road to evacuate in advance. It covers a distance of up to 180m on the road and warns the vehicle up to 6–7 seconds in advance before the expected collision if driving over 100km/h upon entering the danger zone. Our 100km/h Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) is the first ever used worldwide and has saved many lives up to this day.
Main Features of the Products
PUSH Function: The front-mounted model with a fixed bracket can easily push objects lighter than its own weight when at a low speed of 5km/h without damaging the rear of the vehicle or leaving a scratch on the other vehicle.
Bulletproofing: This added option is available if only there is a special purpose intended, and desired bulletproof level is provided according to client’s request.
Fire Resistance: When this feature is availed, we will offer the highest-grade fireproof option that is certified by the government.
Sliding Feature: In the case of a product model which has a flexible sliding bracket, the product efficiency can be maximized through adjustment of the length.
Automatic Air Pressure Adjustment Feature: All models are equipped with an automatic air pressure adjustment function for the product to set appropriate air pressure automatically when air is injected.
Nighttime Identification Feature : The retroreflective sheeting used in our products is ultra-bright high quality, government-certified retroreflective sheeting with excellent nighttime identification.
